How to View and Print a Sprint Report in Jira

By Impran M N

After a sprint wraps up, the sprint report gives you a clear picture of what was completed, what got removed, and what rolled over. This guide covers how to open that report in Jira and get a printable version for meetings or records.

01Open your Scrum project's reports

Go to the project's Reports section from the sidebar, which lists the available report types.

02Select Sprint Report

Choose Sprint Report from the list and pick the specific sprint you want to review.

03Review completed and incomplete work

Check the sections showing completed issues, issues not completed, and any work added or removed during the sprint.

04Adjust the report view if needed

Expand any collapsed sections so all relevant details are visible before printing.

05Print or export the report

Use your browser's print function, or export the page as a PDF, to create a shareable copy of the sprint report.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find the sprint report if my board doesn't show it?

Sprint reports are only available for Scrum boards; Kanban boards don't generate this report by default.

Can I view sprint reports for past, completed sprints?

Yes, the sprint report dropdown lets you select any past sprint associated with the board.

Does the sprint report show why issues weren't completed?

It shows which issues weren't completed but doesn't automatically explain why; that context usually comes from your team's notes.

Can I export the sprint report as a file instead of printing?

Most browsers let you print to PDF instead of a physical printer, which effectively exports the report as a file.
