Teams often keep planning docs and specs in Notion while tracking execution in Jira. Without a link between the two, whoever's in Jira has to go hunting for the right Notion page separately.
There's no first-party integration from either company for this. The practical route is a Jira Marketplace app called Notion+ for Jira, built by a third-party developer, Apps+, which embeds a published Notion page directly inside a Jira issue.
This guide covers finding that app in the Jira Marketplace, what it does, and what to check before installing it on a real team. One thing worth flagging up front: Apps+ has updated this app since the screenshots for this guide were recorded, and the exact embed screen you see may not match what's pictured here. The core mechanic, embedding a published Notion page inside a Jira issue, hasn't changed.

01Know what you're linking a Notion page to
A Jira board is the destination this integration is built for: a Kanban view grouped by epic, with columns like To Do, In Progress, In Development and Done. Each card carries a key like TS-12 or TS-8, a due date and an assignee. Linking Notion gives someone looking at a card like "Log in page fail to load" a one-click path to whatever Notion doc has the spec or investigation notes, instead of switching tabs and searching Notion by hand.
02Search the Jira Marketplace, not Notion's settings
The integration installs from Jira's side, not Notion's. Inside Jira, open Apps, then Explore more apps, to reach "Explore apps for Jira," and search "notion." It's easy to assume this starts in Notion's own integrations settings; it doesn't, since this particular connector is a Jira-side app, not something Notion publishes itself. The search surfaces several results ranked by relevance, star rating and install count, the same way any Jira Marketplace search works.
03Check the Notion+ for Jira listing before installing
Notion+ for Jira is built by Apps+, a marketplace partner that describes itself as the largest Atlassian app developer. As of September 2026 the listing carries an overall rating of 2.5 out of 5 from 13 reviews, a Cloud Fortified trust signal, and 400-plus installs.
That's a real but thin review base for a workflow you might roll out to a whole team. Read a handful of the actual reviews on the Reviews tab before committing, especially for anything business-critical. The listing states plainly that this is a third-party integration, independent of Notion Inc., which is worth mentioning to any teammate who assumes Notion built the connector itself.
04What gets embedded may not match this screenshot
This screenshot shows the embed picker as it existed when this walkthrough was recorded: a tabbed panel inside a Jira issue with Notion, Note and Image tabs, and inside the Notion tab, a block library split into Basic (Blocks, Lists, Full Width, Small Text, Color Rainbow, Code Blocks, Table of Contents, Bookmarks, Links) and Advanced (Image Gallery, Image Upload, Collections, Embeds, File Uploads, Math Equations, Column Layouts, Notion Inception, Tweet Embeds) types. Apps+'s current marketplace listing describes a simpler mechanic instead: open the triple-dot dropdown on a Jira issue, select Notion, paste a shared Notion link, and click Save. Whichever version you land on, the underlying idea is the same: you're embedding a formatted, published slice of a Notion page into the issue instead of dropping a raw link.
05Check pricing before rolling it out
Apps+ offers a 30-day free trial for teams of any size, and Notion+ for Jira is free to run for up to 10 users after that. Beyond 10 users it converts to a paid Commercial license billed through Atlassian; the exact per-seat number depends on your team size and shows up when you enter it on the Pricing tab of the listing.
Budget for that conversion if the team ends up relying on it daily. Don't assume the free tier scales indefinitely.
06Publish the Notion page first
Both the older and current versions of this app work from a published Notion page, shared publicly or via Notion's site publishing, not a private draft. A private, unpublished page won't embed correctly. The practical workflow is: finish and publish the Notion doc, then go into the Jira issue and embed it, not the other way round.
