Start in Google Calendar itself and confirm which calendar you're embedding — the sidebar lists "My calendars" (a primary calendar, Birthdays, Tasks) plus any "Other calendars" you've subscribed to, like a regional holiday calendar. Each one has its own separate embed link, so pick the specific calendar whose events you actually want visible in Notion rather than assuming one link covers everything you see on screen.

Open Settings for that specific calendar and scroll to Integrate calendar in the left-hand settings menu, alongside Calendar settings, Shared with, Access permissions, and Event notifications. This section shows the Calendar ID, a Public URL to the calendar for browser access, and a full Embed code containing an iframe src link — it's that iframe's URL, not the whole HTML tag, that you'll actually paste into Notion. For a real dashboard setup, place the calendar embed in a column next to a linked view of your task database, so deadlines from Google Calendar and open tasks from Notion are visible in the same glance. This works well because the embed is read-only and live — any change made in Google Calendar shows up here automatically, with nothing to manually refresh or resync.

Because the embed can't write data back into Notion, an event on your calendar doesn't automatically become a row in a task database — if you want a specific event tracked with a status, owner, or notes, you'll need to add it as a database entry yourself with a matching date. This is the tradeoff of the embed approach: it's zero-setup and always current, but linking specific events to specific tasks is still a manual step rather than an automatic sync.
