How to Call From Zendesk Easily 2026

By Impran M N

Copying phone numbers to an external device breaks the connection between a call and the customer's ticket history. Zendesk Talk lets agents place outbound calls directly through their browser and automatically logs the interaction. This guide walks through launching the dialer and calling straight from a ticket.

01Launch the call console

Click the call console phone icon in the upper navigation bar from any active admin screen.

02Choose your caller ID

Use the outbound line dropdown to select the brand phone number or region you want to call from.

03Dial the number

Use the digital keypad to input the recipient's complete destination number, or use click-to-call from a ticket.

04Call from an existing ticket

Open an active ticket and click the phone number link via the channel switcher to dial directly.

05Start the call

Click the green call button to launch the live audio stream through your headset connection.

06Add follow-up notes

Review the automatically generated ticket record and add internal follow-up call notes after the call ends.
