Frequently asked questions
Why should I use landscape orientation for this report?
The General Ledger has many columns, and landscape orientation helps make sure they all fit on the page without getting cut off.
Can I filter the ledger to just one account?
The report customization options let you adjust which columns and details show, which can help narrow the focus of what you're reviewing.
What's the difference between viewing this in Cash versus Accrual?
Cash basis reflects when money actually moved, while Accrual reflects when transactions were recorded, so toggling changes which entries appear.
Should I keep a digital copy in addition to a paper printout?
Yes, saving a PDF backup alongside any physical printouts is a good practice for preserving historical data.
