QuickBooks Online actually stores two different phone numbers — the public one that prints on your invoices, and the private one tied to your account's two-factor security. This guide covers updating both, since they live in separate settings menus.
01Open Account and Settings
Click the Gear icon in the upper right and select Account and Settings.
02Edit your company phone number
On the default Company tab, click the Edit pencil, find the Company phone number field, and type your new customer-facing number.
03Save the public update
Click Save, then Done, to update the number that prints on your invoices and sales forms.
04Open your Intuit Account
Click your profile icon and select Manage your Intuit Account, then go to the Sign in & security tab.
05Update your security phone number
Find the Phone row, click Change, enter your new number and password to authorize the edit, then complete the two-factor SMS verification.
